Abstract: Ján Tibenský is widely regarded as one of the most significant historians of science and technology in Slovakia. His extensive body of work demonstrates a comprehensive approach, encompassing the history of medicine and healthcare. Beyond serving as a frequent reviewer of his colleagues’ research and an editor of broader conceptual collections, Tibenský authored several studies dedicated specifically to the history of medicine. The archives of the Slovak Academy of Sciences house a wealth of materials documenting Tibenský’s contributions to this field, which we aim to present in this paper.
