Abstract: The presented study deals with the personality of Konštantín Čulen in connection with his journalistic activities and works published. We are aware that this is an extremely complex and broad topic. Based on this, our goal is to outline those basic areas that Konštantín Čulen, as a gifted, professional journalist paid the most attention to. The personality and work of Konštantín Čulen have not yet been given the due attention that he would rightly deserve. In many ways, the work by Konštantín Čulen reflected the conditions of the time in which he lived and worked. Furthermore, as we elaborate our paper, we would like to emphasize that we also pay attention to the field of the history of journalism or the history of Slovak education and culture. From the beginning, Konštantín Čulen was immensely attracted to these specific areas of journalism. After all, it is his main works on the above‑mentioned topics that bear witness to this.
